Yuma County, Arizona, is seeking an innovative and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its enterprise technology vision and operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to guide technology modernization in one of the nation’s most dynamic and rapidly growing regions.
The CIO oversees the Information Services Department, including five divisions and 35 team members, and reports directly to the Deputy County Administrator. The CIO will lead major countywide initiatives, including the second phase of an Oracle Cloud optimization project.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with:
- Expertise in enterprise IT, cybersecurity, cloud services, and analytics
- Strong background in project/program management (PMI, ITIL preferred)
- Knowledge of public-sector IT governance, security, and compliance
- Experience leading and developing diverse technical teams
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate goals into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least ten years of progressive IT leadership experience, including five years in management.
