The City of Carlsbad is seeking two Parks Planners, one full-time permanent and one four-year limited term. Under general supervision, the Parks Planners will perform park and trail planning and landscape architectural work, prepare plans and exhibits, manage projects, including open space management contracts, and other related work as required. 

Current Capital Improvement Program projects (in various stages of planning, design, and development) include the Veterans Memorial Park, Robertson Ranch Park, Stagecoach Community Park Pickleball Courts, Calavera Community Park Pickleball Courts, Stagecoach Community Gardens, The Crossings Golf Course Landscape Improvements, Monroe Street Pool Renovation and interdepartmental review of various other city improvement projects.

Oral Board Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2024; all candidates must apply on the City’s website.
